Hey guys! I don't know about you but it seems like this semester flew by! I had intended on uploading one last video but have consistently struck out on wifi in the last several towns:(
With about 800 miles to go, I've been covering more ground; it's been quite the adventure- sleeping in parks and people's backyards, showering with garden hoses... I just accepted food from a stranger- hopefully that adds clarity on my whereabouts and explains why I haven't been readily accessible.
Thank you for taking a chance and helping me create a curriculum I hope will transend generations of learning! I know it wasn't always ideal, nor how either you or I had envisioned or intended it sometimes, but this class has been an awesome experience and I've learned so much!
I have made it a point to be in town Wednesday to solidify grades so be warned: if I dont have it by Midnight on Tuesday it won't be graded. I'll be at Mr Lane's disgretion, NOT OBLIGATION, to except or grade anything after that point.
Here are a few friendly reminders as we wrap this semester up :
- Check your grades:
Remember that if you post responses to discussions after they've been due I have no way of knowing. Let Mr. Lane know, so he can add the points. Also, realize that SIS is not mobile compatible, and I'm doing my grading from my phone- that leaves a window of potential error.
- Finish and turn in your Legacy Project:
Remember that your legacy project is your final. You should already have completed your proposal and service hours. The final element is showing me what you've done. Include a synopsis of what you did and why it's important, show pictures and/or video and include commentary from those that are most impacted by your project.
Be careful this summer and get off your butt and get outside! Let me know if you need some suggestions;)
Im hoping to summit Kadahdin mid July and then we'll be making the journey back home. I'll be back in class by the time next semester rolls around. I'm going to miss you guys, but I hope you'll stop in first thing next semester to say hi!
