- Final reflection: Choose 5 products you commonly use and assess their exposure levels. Write a summative reflection:
- What products did you evaluate and what are your levels of exposure?
- What can you do to protect yourself from increased health risks associated with chemical exposure?
- Who's responsibility is it to safe guard us from harmful chemical exposure (government? companies? consumers?)
- How safe do you feel your products are?

- Determine what those two roads represent, conclude which road you shall travel and express why that is the best path for you. Develop response into a reflective essay.

- Chemical Exposure is just one of numerous, prevalent environmental concerns. Your assessment for this unit will demonstrate your understanding of an environmental concern and then raise awareness about the concern through advocacy
- Public Service Announcement
- Introduce PSA assignment
- Students will research an Environmental Issue and create a PSA
- This assignment is two parts: Research with notes and a PSA video
- Research and Notes
- Min. 3 sources
- Each source should generate at least a 1/2 page of notes
- Put each source on it's own page of notes
- Source citation should be at the top of each note page
- Notes should reflect organization (formal or informal)
- Paraphrase information when you can, put direct quotations in quotes
- Make sure to verify the validity of the resource
- Don't be afraid of redundancy; it helps verify accuracy
- PSA Video
- Using a combination of pictures, text, sound, etc., create a PSA that raises awareness of your issue
- You can choose to act in your PSA if you'd like but it's not required
- Videos should be at least 1 minute long
- Source information should be included in the credits
- Brainstorm potential topics and look at some examples:
